This is a highly textured mixed media painting that includes lots of collage material, acrylic paint, graphite and oil pastel. Two brothers were writing letters to each other in the 1850's and those notes have been included in this piece, hence the name.
 
Colors include sepia tones, cream, white, black, tan and hints of gold.
